STUDY GROUP!
Carry Triggs Hodge and I were the foundation of our study group and we did sometimes have additional members depending on what we were covering. Carry and I both wanted to make differential diagnoses the core of our study groups whilst also discussing anatomy of the regions we were discussing, special tests and anything else that came up during the meeting.

Study group with Carry Triggs Hodge and Lewis Jenner. Lewis gave a tutorial on dizziness and the different reasons why someone might present with dizziness - what could be causing it. A really useful tutorial as often this kind of presentation can be intimidating in clinic, so it was good to see it broken down and analysed in this way. We talked about the kind of questions you could ask if someone said they felt dizzy.

Differential diagnoses for the shoulder and knee this week! Carry, Emma and I made scatter diagrams for differential diagnoses of both knee and shoulder pain, the tissue causing symptoms and the special tests one might use to test your differentials.
A good session, I need to work on special tests as it is an area I feel quite weak in, as today's study group proved!

Another differential diagnoses week, this time moving down the body to the hip! An important study grroup this week as I have seen a lot of patients in clinic presenting with hip pain whether as a direct result of tissues in the hip or referred frrom the lumbar spine etc.
Emma, Carry and I also discussed special tests for the hip and revised hip anatomy.
